Yankee Candle Jarnormous Sale Haul

Midnight Oasis
The Yankee Candle Jarnormous Sale is over, so I probably won't be buying from Yankee for a little while. I got 6 different candles. All of them but the Vanilla Satin was on clearance. I really like them all, so I will be pretty sad once they're gone.
One of the scents I purchased was Midnight Oasis. Midnight Oasis is described by Yankee as "Across quiet sands, a midnight breeze mixes with island citrus and warm sandalwood."

If you are into masculine type scents, this is a good one. Its pretty heavy, but I don't think it's quite as masculine as Midsummer's Night. It is so strong I will most likely be keeping this one in a larger room.

Evening Air

Evening Air is described as "The crisp breeze of a fall night warmed with notes of clove, geranium, basil, cedarwood and musk. "
It is less masculine than Midnight Oasis, and a little more fresh. It's strong enough for my living room, but I enjoy this as a bathroom scent.

Ocean Water
Ocean Water is probably the scent I am going to miss the most. It's all fresh, not heavy at all. The description reads "The cool scent of blue waters, exotic hibiscus, and musk." This one is the most versatile for me, it travels from living room, bedroom, desk, to bathroom and I love it everywhere.

I am obsessed with Warm Vanilla Sugar. Warm Sugar is exactly that, but of course without the Vanilla. Yankee describes it as "Rich and syrupy. . . the inviting aroma of creamy smooth caramel, light amber maple and pralines."
It's a beautiful soft, sweet scent, but it has a pretty weak throw. I either have to keep it close, or put it in a small room.

Sugared Flower Petals was part of the same "Spoonful of Sugar" limited edition collection is very similar to Warm Sugar. It is "Precious petals of violet and jasmine sweetened with pink sugar"
It's throw is a little better than the Warm Sugar. I like the sweet floral scent  in a clean kitchen after dinner, plus the jar is super cute.

Last but not least is my Vanilla Satin. Vanilla Satin is the only one that wasn't on clearance, and is part of Yankee's new fall lineup. While I was purchasing the previous candles an associate gave me a $10 off coupon. I loved the description and had to have it.
Yankee describes it as "Sophisticated. Classic. A smooth blend of rich vanilla, romantic flowers and sensuous sandalwood. "
It's a wonderful scent, and already one of my favorites. I love all the notes that are in it, sadly the scent is just very light. It's strictly a bathroom candle because the weak throw gets lost every where else I put it.
I signed up online to get Yankee's coupons. When you submit your contact information they give you a  $10 off $25 purchase.
Midnight Oasis and Evening Air were on the 2 for 25 shelf. After my coupon I got both candles for $15. That's the same as $7.50 each!
I bought the Warm Sugar and Ocean Water with another $10 off coupon I got in my email inbox.

I really enjoyed the Yankee Semi-Annual sale. I hope I can hold out and not buy more before the next sale.

  1. Hi, I used to be obsessed with Yankee candles but not anymore. I will still buy one once in awhile with a coupon and they have great accessories. *can't wait for the boney bunch in August* but my son kind of put it into perspective for me "it doesn't matter what scent you get they all pretty much smell the same, like nothing" And sadly I have to agree. there is the rare exception like gingerbread or sparkling sugar, but like the rootbeer float I left burning all night in the bathroom, I can barely smell it. :( That's why I crossed over to tarts :) Thank you for the reviews I really like reading them.
